Today, whilst spending most of the day altering work's website, something finally hit me - I can actually code in XHTML! I've spent countless hours over the past 6 or so years, putting together random webpages (mostly crap) and more recently, using Dreambeaver's code view 99% of the time - switching to design view to pinpoint snippets of code, or to ensure everything looks OK.
To demonstrate this, off the top of my head (in the last 5 minutes) I altered the code for my previous blog post, to centre the image and add in an alt tag (to ensure validity) along with a few other things. On top of that, I messed around with CSS and layers, instead of the easier table layout. To conclude: CSS is wank for layout. I much prefer having a physical item to push and pull around until I am happy with how it looks.
Bah, what is up with this geeky talk? Let's get back to business...
