Red19
Back in 2006, I embarked upon a PC modification project: to take an old Enermax case that I had and improve its aesthetics, cooling and performance.
Consisting of many weeks of labour and a pivot or two (it was originally planned to be blue). I wrote about each step on the Bit-Tech forums, to show progress of the project.
Once completed, I entered it into Custom PC's Readers' Drives competition - and won!
The forums have changed a fair bit since then - both the images and links are broken. But you can browse the project logs (in .txt
format) and the images on slickhouse.com/dump/lazlow/pc/blue
I shall revive the logs soon, in a HTML
format.
I do still have Red19 and the monitor in storage, but the Foxconn board died a couple of years later - and the replacement board (and CPU) have been recycled since. Maybe I should revive Red19 itself too - housing it in my Homelab?
