Who is Matt Juffs? and why does he talk in the 3rd person?
I am 41 (at the time of writing), born 1984-05-14 and I like writing dates in the ISO format.
I work as a Technical Lead/Solution Architect, for Microlise - predominantly remotely, from home. A couple of times a month, I do make it into the office - for refinement.
I'm a Dad/Step-Dad to 6 girls (Alisha, Lily, Mia, Tegan, Annie-May and Florence) and I'm outnumbered.
I've lived in a few places, within the UK: Windsor (Berkshire), Lincolnshire, Somercotes (Derbyshire), Pentrich (also Derbyshire) and now Ripley (you guessed it, Derbyshire).
I enjoy reading, writing, walking, driving, Star Wars, coffee and a few other things you'll find on here.
What is Slickhouse? and what does it mean?
Sometime in 2003/2004, a friend at University called our student digs slickhouse and the name has stuck ever since.
I keep meaning to actually register it as a business, but I prefer working for an employer and leaving the business stuff to them.
When did this all begin? slickhouse, not the big bang...
I first registered slickhouse.com in 2004 according to who.is and haven't let the renewals slip since.
Slickhouse has gone through various iterations and I plan to write a history page on it, in the near future.
Where is this hosted?
Currently, on an Azure VM. Originally it was on a UKHost4U shared server; then my homeserver; then Azure; then another homeserver - and back to Azure again. Once my homelab has been restored, I shall host it again on there.
