For those of you that have been in hibernation over the past few months - Windows Vista was released on January 30th (Tuesday). You can read about my Vista experience if you've missed it too - the prologue and the aftermath.
As today was the best day of the month (being pay day) I decided to purchase an OEM copy of Windows Vista Ultimate - for the bargain price of £111.57 (you've got about 15 minutes left at the time of posting, to grab it at this price from aria.co.uk).
Alongside the software, which is in fact the first copy of Windows I've purchased separately, I decided to invest in another 2 x 250GB Hard-Drives, which will bring my fileserver's total storage to about 1.66TB. Afterall, most retailers require you to purchase a hardware component or system at the same time as forking out for OEM software.
Let me know if and when you'll be purchasing Vista - along with your chosen version. I'll keep you updated with how the 'real' install goes. I'm planning on running it alongside XP Pro SP2 for a few months until I'm 100% converted.
