Red Nineteen Project Log 19 - 24th June 2006 Not much, in fact nothing in the way of modding. But just a few shots to give you all an idea of how this rig will look... ...also it's log #19 for project Red Nineteen: ^ After drying overnight, I brought the case back inside. The masking tape was used in conjunction with the beer cans to hold the fascia down, whilst drying. ^ Masking tape removed. ^ A close-up of the switches going-in. ^ There! Looks kinda cool with all the switches and controls in place. ^ An internal shot. There wont be much else in there, apart from the components of course. ^ I spent a good 5 minutes practicing flipping the switches back and forth. The fascia makes them feel solid. ^ I reckon one cathode along the base of the window and one to the left as shown. ^ Side-panel on. ^ Close-up of the top... ^... and the base. Imagine it like that, but black on the outside, with red lighting on the inside - seeping out! I've pretty much decided on the final specs of this machine now: * AMD Athlon 64 4000+ X2 AM2 (ordered) * Foxconn C51XEM2AA-8EKRS2H AM2 Nforce 590 (still to get) * Tagan 530w EasyCon PSU (sitting here) * Nvidia 7800gt (sitting here) * Corsair DDR2 6400 (800) 2 x 1gb (still to get) * Acer F-19 19" LCD (sitting here) * Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 (still to get) * Arctic Cooling AcceleroX1 (for 7800) (still to get) * Microsoft 6000 Laser Mouse (sitting here) * Microsoft Basic Keyboard (sitting here) * Samsung SpinPoint 250gb SATAII (sitting here) Managed to grab the 4000 from Low before they're discontinued. The Foxconn board is highly rated by bit-tech and CustomPC - and it's black! Not 100% sure on the memory, but my budget is £200 for some decent DDR2 2gb stuff. Any comments?
