Blue PC Project Log 17 - 22nd June 2006 Just a quick update to the log for today, well tonight... ^ I left the P38 filler to dry for 24 hours. Then used the orbital sander on the fascia first. ^ Here's the top blow-hole (blow-less-hole more like) after having the orbital run over it. Still lots of bumbs and dips. ^ After 30 minutes of me using some 160 grit Aluminium oxide paint remover paper. ^ After 45 minutes... ^ About an hour! ^ The front fascia after some wet/dry paper. Although you can see the cracks, they are showing simply because of the light shining through. The fascia is a lot stronger around the switch holes now. I'll use an engraving bit on the rotary tool tomorrow, to correct the holes. ^ The top after a few minutes of wet/dry paper and water. ^ It's nice and shiny now! I applied a thick layer of clear-coat lacquer to seal it, as small cracks were starting to appear. Tomorrow evening I'll finish off the facia and then epoxy it to the original frame. Then I'll P38 it and smooth that down over the weekend. Then all the mechanical modding should be over and done with. Hopefully I'll have time over the weekend to start the electrics too...
