Blue PC Project Log 15 - 19th June 2006

Secondly, some more modding (afterall, that's what all this is really about)...

^ With the front-panel acrylic cut to size, it was time to cut-out the 120mm fan holes...

^ Unfortunately I instantly stumbled across a problem - the 102mm (largest I could find) holesaw I purchased, doesn't fit my cheap drill. Luckily I found a socket bit that fits.

^ After spending a good 15 minutes trying, I managed to cut out the first hole.

^ Done. Two 102mm holes, ready for test-fitting. Picture shows the before/after - I cut out the front fascia twice, as the first time a big chunk came off in the corner towards the end of the cut.

^ It looks like a radiator mount or something. The 102mm holes look like they'll be fine.

That's about it for now. Not much progress, but I should be updating several times this week. I'm hoping to order an AM2 Athlon X2 4000 this weekend too. I'm still waiting for DFI to announce a release date for their AM2 board before I complete the hardware purchasing.
