Blue PC Project Log 13 - 12th June 2006 Finally for today, we have the case feet... ^ You may remember me saying that the wheels, although looked good, were very unstable. So I decided to use some left-over 8mm acrylic, to make some new case-feet. ^ The feet were cut out, clamped together and drilled. ^ Which ended up like this. ^ And when mounted, they look like this. ^ And when you turn the case over on its side, they look like this. ^ And when you turn the case upside down, they look like this. ^ And when you remove one to file down a rivet, you end up with this - notice the sanded down patch? I might sand the whole of the inside and then lacquer it. For a nice 'polished' look. ^ Finally a shot of where it is all at. I didn't realise how many pictures I took of the case feet, afterall they're only small blocks of acrylic... The case is a lot steadier now, which gives me a boost of confidence as I don't want to fill it with components - and have it toppling over every few minutes. Sometime this week I hope to get the front panel cut-out. I purchased the largest hole-saw I could find in B&Q (102mm), which should do - though the thing was £20! That's the difference between a 3800 and a 4000. But hey.
