Bourne Ultimatum

Last night we went to see the preview of the Bourne Ultimatum - the 3rd (and possibly final?) of the Bourne series.

As the last film we’d seen in the Cinema was Harry Potter, a month or so ago - there was plenty to choose from this week. Evan Almighty, Transformers and The Simpsons movie for a start (the latter of which we’re off to see next week).

Looking back, I’m glad we opted for Bourne, as it’s a great film throughout the 111 minutes. As usual, I wont give anything major away, but you’ve probably gathered from the trailers and posters that Jason Bourne has started to remember, which leads to a fast-paced plot as he uncovers more and more of his past.

The only downside in some people’s eyes, is the lack of a steadicam. IMDB reviewers mention the shaky filming that lasts the entire duration. Anneka even felt dizzy during some scenes. But I believe it’s the choice of the director, who made the first two films fairly shaky. Ultimatum uses the ’shaky’ cam during both conversation scenes and action sequences. I suppose it throws you right in, letting you believe you’re sitting behind Jason as he chats away, or dodging fists as he struts his (big-chinned/nosed) stuff.

If you’re sitting around tonight, wondering what to do - then pop down to your local cinema and enjoy the delights of the third film in the Bourne trilogy, Bourne Ultimatum. It’ll be worth your pennies.

More pictures of Skyline

I’ve finally got around to using my Flickr account. This afternoon Simon drove their new Corsa to the house and we washed all 3 cars (Corsa, Punto, Skyline) on the drive. Afterwards I took a few pictures of the R32 Skyline using my recently purchased Canon 350D.

You can see my Flickr R32 GTS set or view the sample below:

Unfortunately the Skyline is in a worse state than it was 6 weeks ago - Nissan Lincoln broke the car during the 3 weeks that they had it in their service centre. It went from cutting out after 5 minutes of being on, to not even starting at all. This week I plan to have it taken to a proper garage, not some spanner monkeys who simply don’t have a clue…
