Bourne Ultimatum
Last night we went to see the preview of the Bourne Ultimatum - the 3rd (and possibly final?) of the Bourne series.
As the last film we'd seen in the Cinema was Harry Potter, a month or so ago - there was plenty to choose from this week. Evan Almighty, Transformers and The Simpsons movie for a start (the latter of which we're off to see next week).
Looking back, I'm glad we opted for Bourne, as it's a great film throughout the 111 minutes. As usual, I wont give anything major away, but you've probably gathered from the trailers and posters that Jason Bourne has started to remember, which leads to a fast-paced plot as he uncovers more and more of his past.
The only downside in some people's eyes, is the lack of a steadicam. IMDB reviewers mention the shaky filming that lasts the entire duration. Anneka even felt dizzy during some scenes. But I believe it's the choice of the director, who made the first two films fairly shaky. Ultimatum uses the 'shaky' cam during both conversation scenes and action sequences. I suppose it throws you right in, letting you believe you're sitting behind Jason as he chats away, or dodging fists as he struts his (big-chinned/nosed) stuff.
If you're sitting around tonight, wondering what to do - then pop down to your local cinema and enjoy the delights of the third film in the Bourne trilogy, Bourne Ultimatum. It'll be worth your pennies.

Wayo, yeah I'm deffo gonna watch it, I saw the last one at cinema as well and I agree you really get motion sickness I was hoping it wasn't so bad this time but... oh well. Its not too bad on dvd I found tho. Go watch Transformers as well its a visual treat (not that I've been yet).

I've watched it now. It was cool, loads more chases but not as clever as the 2nd movie. I didn't get nausea, I think this was because I sat further back this time. I'd give it 8/10 whereas the last one gets a 9/10.

I was watching a video on Bioshock yesterday and it looks very interesting. Some parts reminded me of Timesplitters in a way.
Blue Dragon also looks good - an RPG from the same guy who wrote Final Fantasy and the guy who created the Dragon Ball Z characters.
My only dilemma is whether to get Bioshock on PC or XBOX 360...

Yeah same here^^, I ran Bioshock demo on pc last night and it ran flawlessly (does on 360 as well) however it seemed sooo much easier (which was a bad thing) because the mouse control enabled the character to manoeuvre really quickly compared to 360 pad. This was bad mkay because I thought the 360 pad has been tweaked to perfection imo. Made it seem waaaay less atmospheric, I predict the PC reviews should reflect this a bit and it wont score as high. However I've not been paid and wont be for a while therefore it's likely I'll be playing on PC..... If you know what I mean ;)

Will do once I've got the 360 plugged back in.
Check out the PGR4 videos on IGN - bikes will be very cool online, as you're taking a corner in a fast car, having some chump skim past you on his superbike...

Yeah that looks pretty decent, tho can't imagine I'll be using the steering wheel for the motorbikes... but I guess you never know! The weather changing looks pretty cool. Lots of demo's popping up on live, its really annoying that my hard drive isn't bigger. Mind you I think the broadband is limited here so cant download too much anyway :(

Well so far my brain is being crammed with information. Information I don't completely understand, as of yet anyway! Its like going to uni with no distractions so you are forced to learn something, which is good but I feel like a geek. I'm supposed to be one so I suppose that's ok. Apparently after I learn this code its only the 1st step. I then have to learn everything to do with whatever ill be coding for, so basically have to learn all about how some company works. Dude said I never stop learning stuff tbh. I guess that's good? Problem is my brain is stiff from lack of use so I'm having trouble remembering stuffs.

I find myself learning something new everyday at work - for example, I got to grips with using ASP to alter web page layout, by manipulating the CSS via If statements. At least, that's how I would describe it. The only worrying thing is that you use the wrong terminology and look like a n00b!

yeah that's my prob, I try and ask a question and don't know what terms to use, so its a big struggle to ask anything. I just spurge out some lame talk. Another problem I have is it seems the language is completly diff to C++ so its tricky to visualise whats going on.

Nice! Anneka and I almost got a DS each instead of the XBOX 360, but I gave in to the 360 in the end.
Which reminds me, I hooked it all up again last night, so will be on Live sometime today/over the weekend.

Do you get odd looks when you visit this site then? I am going to be making a theme switcher sometime soon - so you could easily flip to a minimalistic theme when browsing from work.
As for forum, I could revert back to just using one post (on WordPress) just for general chat like this...

Ok about this cyclods thing, i just thought of a top idea! get a DS development kit on your PC and make games, they gotta be pritty simple to make. Sounds fun and eve more reason to buy one! only thing now is whilst sreaching i seen other products like this out on the market and slightly cheaper ones so i am going to investigate more.

there are other products ive looked around them, all and yep they are about £10 cheaper. From what i gather this is the most feature packed and proffessional package and overall is the best version. Here is a random quote: "I am getting pretty excited about this chip. Zebra what did you decide though, is it worth the extra money? Do you think it is the wisiest choice? I mean is the pros over the m3 simply that big? I think the case looks awesome that is for sure and it seems to be a great unit. It will be better once the scopei compat list is updated more once the unit becomes more popular. I don't know if we can discuss it here either but the ds extreme has some arm7 copy protection, by the looks of it the cyclods doesn't have this issue (although I can't see the issue with the m3 simply on the scopei list).
Either way I think I am going to get one very soon. Nice review. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey dude.
Ok. My global opinion on it, in the long run, is that it IS worth the extra $ for what you get, in terms of support, firmware updates and (future) functionality. For me, it seems to be just a better build quality and package all over (and is technically a more capable device). Don't get me wrong, the M3 still rocks very hard, but the cyclo just does *that* much better at what it does best...
If you've got the extra few $ to throw on it, do it. You won't regret it. "

Think you should go with Byron's idea of ripping off councils then next year when the local authority reports come in they'll say '..........bought a load of educational software from a bunch of geek monkeys and got well and truly ripped off' well probably not but it would be more interesting than what I get to read now!
