For those of you that play Half Life 2…

Concerned - The Half Life and Death of Gordon Frohman.

Here’s my current favourite.

They’re very witty and often hilarious, but reading through them annoys me - I wish I’d thought of using Garry’s Mod in this way…

Ah well.

Now, I’m not one for browsing blogs - in fact I tend to look at them only when linked to from forums/news sites - so, I don’t have anything really to compare this to…

But 72 posts since November (73 including this) is good going. And 136 comments is almost 2 comments for every post.

I’ll do you a deal - I keep blogging, you keep commenting. OK?

I was a little disappointed reading some reviews for this game, not that they knocked it in anyway, but the comments the reviewers made on the previous Star Wars RTS - Galactic Battlegrounds…

If the sodding reviewers actually had played the game, they would have realised that it’s very very good, excellent in fact as it’s based on the Age of Empires engine.

That aside, Empire at War has received rave (raver, raver!) reviews and the screenshots spread all over the ‘net are promising too.

So, while I sit and wait for the release (penned in for 17th February) I am downloading the huge (700mb+) demo, which Simon kindly pointed out was up on Gamershell. It’s currently at 89%, about 2 hours total to download.

I’ll report back (as always) with my own short review - expect it to be another raver.

This weekend Day of Defeat : Source is free. So to celebrate I decided to renew my interest in games by having a go…

And cooel is all that comes to mind. It’s still the same old DoD, albeit with a slicker and faster look and feel to it. In fact it feels a hell of a lot faster than the original - no more trudging along at snail pace, only to get shot in the head by a team-mate. No! Fast paced action is where it’s at now.

^ The source physics are all there, so I enjoyed punching random objects instead of the enemy

Why do headaches have to be such biatches (bee-hart-ches)?

I had a lie in, which is quite something when you’re working 9-5 but are used to the student life of previous years. This lie in proceeded to mess up my head and give me a headache - I never used to get them from oversleeping but it seems now I do…

So whereas I had planned to play Day of Defeat : Source all weekend (as it’s free for now), instead I tried to sleep it off. Looks like I’ll be on DoD tomorrow morning till midnight, which will probably give me another headache in itself. Life’s just a bunch of shits and giggles.
