Simon mentioned the other day that the new look (version 4) to slickhouse.com had a flaw - the sub-domain menu bar situated to the right…

I can see his point, that only a limited few nations read from right to left (Hebrew for example). I on the other hand placed it to the right for this same reason - the site viewer is more likely to start reading the content on the left.

It’s not perfect, and in fact it’s far from being so… but the new-look is an improvement on the frame-layouts of previous versions.

You’ll be pleased to know (or maybe you wont give a shiznit) that I’ve finally got the hang of CSS. I’ve tried using it many times in the past, but haven’t seen the point in it - until now.

I’m going to be working on my portfolio this coming week, although it doesn’t really need much doing to it I’m going to give it a revamp. Either flash/html or a html/css framework. Decisions decisions.

Fall Out Boy

Just thought I’d write some praise for Fall Out Boy…

I started hearing their single Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down on Radio 1 just after Christmas, and initially I almost turned it off. But after listening to it through a second time I was hooked.

To me they seem to be a cross between AFI, Green Day and Blink 182. A weird mix, but it works well.

Thanks to Simon recommending a new BT client, I now have 3 of their albums too…

Euromillions

Last night’s Euromillions draw had a jackpot total of over £100m!

I’ve finally managed to get on the site and check the draw numbers, and it seems I’ve won £7.40 of that pot, if I’ve remembered my ticket correctly. I was hoping for a few million, but hey, you’ve got to start somewhere.

It seems as though the site is overloaded though, as I can’t sign-in to double check my numbers. Ah well.

CBB

Ok, so Chantelle won, and I’m pleased in a way…

Maggot did well, the GLC should be happy (I am).

Barrymore is the runner up, which is good. Of all the celebrities in there, he deserved the extra fame.

I’m not going to say much more, but Maggot did well. He did well.

A formula for y’all…

You may have done GCSE maths… heck, you may have done A-Level maths. If you’ve done degree level maths, then you’re stupid.

Add up this formula mathematical mathematicians:

[3 x Fosters] + [10 x Apple Sourz shots] + 1 bottle of Pina Colada cheapy vodka shiznit = ???

Replace ??? with your answer.
